If there is one art medium I DO NOT understand, it is watercolor. I do not understand how to lay the washes. In my advanced art classes in high school, my teacher made us do 2 water color paintings and when I showed him mine he laughed hysterically and said "Oh, I KNOW you could do better than that." I eventually painted another one that looked a little better, but I still don't understand it. I intend on taking a class dedicated to the medium because I suck terribly at water color and have so much respect for anyone who understands how to use it well enough to paint people.
